Challenge
BMM founder Matthew McLemore contributed as a core designer within a small CBS Interactive team and a rotating pool of freelancers, developing the UX and visual design for the CBS Entertainment app. Their objective was to create an immersive platform for fans to watch full episodes and socialize, while integrating a signature feature that synced with live TV to deliver real-time behind-the-scenes insights and trivia—turning passive viewing into an interactive experience.
Process
Matthew helped lead UX design throughout the project, mentoring incoming freelancers and contributing across creative phases, including brainstorming, wireframing, color psychology, and iconography. He maintained rigorous quality control and pixel-level attention to detail, optimizing the interface for high-density displays and ensuring the app was both usable and visually polished.
